The December Prayer Focus was held at Victory Christian Fellowship. The purpose and focus of the meeting was to discuss the 31 days of prayer in January. Churches were able to sign up for the day(s) they desired to host.
Bro. Ray Hughes brought a fresh word concering the state of KY as well as the move of God globally. Here are a few of the thoughts from Ray Hughes:
*"We have to see now that 2009 will be a year of answered prayer." A.W. Tozer said, "Revival happens when prayer ceases to be the substitute for obedience." "That's when you'll see God do something. Prayer is absolutely necessary and mandatory.
*"Prayer is never God's strategy, but prayer is where you find God's strategy. You won't have God's strategy if you are not a praying people".
*"January is setting the tempo for the song and sound of 2009".
*"Prayer cannot be the end of it. After prayer, you will have to walk it out in obedience."
May we take these points as a token to pray as the state of KY.
On Saturday, January 31st, from 4-6pm we'll end the prayer time with a "Declaration Service" at Victory, with Bro. Ray Hughes. All groups participating will join us for this service. We want to have 120 shofars, representing each county in our state, on this day. If you have any shofars that you can bring for this service, please let us
know. After a whole month of prayer, I'm sure we'll be hearing from the Lord purposeful steps of obedience to walk in.
We encourage you to join us on the first Sunday evening of every month @ 6pm for our corporate time of prayer and intercession.
