The Next Step for Kentucky
We want to thank you for your participation in the Pastor’s Prayer Focus’ 31 days of prayer. This was a huge achievement in the Spirit. Even in the declaration service on January 31st, you could sense the presence of God. Over 40 churches were represented, revealing a spirit of unity.
With that said,
Our response is now, Lord, what's next"?
For the church of KY., this is not the conclusion of one thing, but the triumphant beginning of something beyond us, a God intervention. I know many expressed the anticipation of God’s plans for our state.
With that in mind, Kentucky is being awakened with each prayer, prayed now and even in times past. Interestingly, a word was given on the first day, January 1, that God is even now answering the prayers that were prayed back in the 1800’s. I believe that to be amazingly true. Just think… the prayers of our forefathers and foremothers that were uttered long ago are now being poured out over this generation… the generation of Kentucky.
May we now take humble action toward the next step of obedience, aligning ourselves with the word and the prayers of the saints. This is a process and the process will result in God raising up a house of prayer for the state of KY. This is what’s called “Creating a Prayer Culture!”
So I urge everyone reading this to continue to stand in a posture of prayer, worship and intercession. God would tell us just as He told Ezekiel in Ez. 2:1, “Stand, that I may speak with you…”. Continue to stand in the things of God- in prayer, worship and intercession. Meet and pray, pray and meet…
May our prayer go something like this:
Lord, here we stand before You with humble and contrite hearts. Lord, remember the prayers of this generation, yet even the ones that have gone before us. Lord, send an awakening and fresh sense of Your purposes and plans for the church of this great land, KENTUCKY. Arise in Your church and may the enemies of God be scattered. In Jesus’ name!
